「水燈節」一個充滿歷史價值的泰國傳統慶典，承襲自數個世紀前的素可泰時代。每年，正值泰曆十二月十五日（對應西曆2023年11月27日），泰國人民齊聚一堂，準備迎接這個富有意義的節日。 水燈節的核心理念是感恩，表達對河神的崇敬，並懺悔請求寬恕，尤其是對於我們對水源的污染。這個節慶中最迷人的瞬間之一是當水燈隨著河水緩緩飄向遠方，代表著遠去的不幸和過去的罪行。 製作水燈，是水燈節不可或缺的一部分，同時也是泰國人必備的手工藝技能。通過以芭蕉葉等自然素材精心製作水燈，我們將體驗到泰國獨特的傳統藝術和手工技巧。 這個工作坊不僅提供了一次親自參與水燈製作的機會，更是一個文化探索的旅程。透過水燈，我們能更深入地了解泰國的文化、習俗和價值觀，體驗其精緻和鬆弛之美。

The "Loy Krathong Festival" is a traditional Thai celebration with deep historical significance, tracing its roots back to the Sukhothai period several centuries ago. Each year, on the 15th day of the Thai lunar calendar (corresponding to November 27, 2023, in the Gregorian calendar), people from all over Thailand come together to prepare for this meaningful event. At the heart of the Loy Krathong Festival is the spirit of gratitude, as it is an expression of reverence for the River Goddess and a plea for forgiveness, especially for the pollution of our water sources. One of the most enchanting moments in this festival is when water lanterns gently drift away with the river's current, symbolizing the departure of misfortunes and past wrongdoings. Creating water lanterns is an integral part of the Loy Krathong Festival and a skill that every Thai person should possess. Through the meticulous crafting of water lanterns using natural materials like banana leaves, we get to experience the unique traditional art and craftsmanship of Thailand. This workshop not only provides an opportunity to participate in the hands-on creation of water lanterns but also serves as a cultural exploration journey. Through the medium of water lanterns, we gain a deeper understanding of Thai culture, customs, and values, all while experiencing the intricacies and relaxed beauty it has to offer.
